The Middle Eastern Women and Society Organisation provide free one-to-one in Farsi and English in Islington for BAMER women.
Counselling is an opportunity for you to speak one-to-one with a supportive professional about your personal and emotional difficulties due to traumas caused by civil wars and regional conflicts, emotional, domestic, sexual or honour related violence, female genital mutilation and forced marriage. This could be an issue from the past, present or anything that worries you about the future. It is a safe environment to explore problems in order to find a more fulfilling and happier way of living. MEWSo aims to break barriers that force women to suffer in silence.
This consists of 10 free weekly sessions of 1 hour each with a specialist counsellor to explore any issues you have, even if it happened as a child, a long time ago or if it is recent. If you wish to have more than 10 sessions, there is a minimal fee.
Counselling will assist you to heal scars and allow you to move forward in your life.
